That Boy Ronaldo!

The boys are back in town.

Manchester United is back to winning ways but are we flying yet? The game against West Ham yesterday allowed anyone who saw the quality United possessed in all areas of the pitch. Rafael has proved to be an amazing asset on the right hand side and may very well be as good as Evra is one day. That does pose a threat to already giants Wes Brown and Gary Neville. Ronaldo has returned to scoring form and for the first time since this summer’s events with bastards Real Madrid, Ronaldo looks like a devil once more. Tevez also showed great form despite not scoring a goal. I guess no one really needs to talk about Berbatov as he displayed his best football so far for the season with amazing touches and play on the ball. Rooney came on and could have scored his 100th for United in style but it was not in the cards. He was overflowing with confidence and looks to have a fantastic season ahead. Anderson shows signs of becoming another midfield legend like Scholes or Keane. Other great performers on the night included Rio and Vidic as well as Nani. The real questions are why didn’t they score more than two goals? They should have held the ball better in the second half especially having Tevez, Rooney, Berbs and Ronaldo all running at the defence. I assume they need more time together. At the end everyone wanted their chance to score and the team suffered goals because of that. United maybe flying high, but they will have to maintain this in order to catch up to the league leaders. All I can say now is we look to more and more from this team as we truly have what it takes to take the Scouse back to hell! Viva Ronaldo, Viva Ronaldo, He runs down the wing, hear United sing, Viva RONALDO!

My Arsenal Woes

The season is still fresh and Arsenal has had the most up and down season I can think of in recent years. After the loss of Gilberto, Flamini, Justin Hoyte, Hleb, Senderos and Traore on loan, and Gary Lewin to England… I thought maybe we were on the up… right? I was wrong once again…

The first down was losing to Fulham at Craven Cottage. Now i am not saying that Fulham is a lame team but I have come to expect Arsenal to win these games, amd yes I know they have lost stupid games in the past but those were usually deep into the season where injuries play a major factor…

Then a nice high and wins galore.. In UCL, BPL and that stunning young guns win in the Carling Cup.. then the axe fell again.. Hull (this seasons bonus package) beat us at home… WTMA Now Arsenal dominated that game and came out second best.. the only consolation was that they beat Spurs as well… Then another high beating Porto 4-0 and then a draw at Sunderland where Arsenal pressured like a mother! 2 more wins and then this 4-4 “defeat” at home to tottenham… I call it a defeat because they scored 2 late goals to tie.. and i see it as 2 points lost… Adding salt to the frogs back Bentley had a scorcher against Lehmann… yes i called him Lehmann.. Because there seems to be little in the improvement department….

What should be done?

In my opinion.. Move Toure or Gallas into the “Holding Midfielder”(I know everyone’s said it already) role because there is a major lack in that department… Cesc has to play too deep and he is not as influential in the attacking half of the pitch thus far… Until we can pick up a holding midfielder there must be some support for the back 4…(Diarra should never have left) .

Next up we need to be sure that we take our opportunities… Walcott has impressed me some more but he still isn’t the finished article… And Nasri fades in an out of the games… I know injuries are killing them but they need to have a deeper squad  and at least 2 more defensive options. One more at leftback and another centre back… Silvestre fills those rolse but he is not the best of the best.

Anyways I believe Wenger knows what he is doing and he will get them in order soon enough… Injured players will soon return and all will be in order once again… Right?

Peace out Homies!!!

Warner is a vice A-Hole!

Roy Keane thinking how to drop kick Jack!

Roy Keane thinking how to drop kick Jack!

Today I came across an interesting series of articles. It seems that Sunderland’s manager Roy Keane insisted that Dwight Yorke sit out Trinidad and Tobago’s 3-0 loss to the USA. Warner was cited saying “Your callous disregard for the rights of ’small’ countries to have their players represent them as enshrined in Fifa regulations reveals a mean streak in your character,” it read. “It is one which will not endear you or Sunderland to such countries and it is a dangerous path to tread. Such insensitivity and disrespect were again most recently displayed by you having summoned Dwight Yorke to England, rendering him unavailable to face the USA. “Your continuing insensitivity and disrespect for countries such as Trinidad and Tobago are hereby noted.”

All I have to say to Jack Warner is stop talking about small countries. Since when have you ever really cared for the football of Trinidad and Tobago? Instead of trying to develop new players you continuously call on Dwight Yorke to represent Trinidad in his late thirties. Just so its clear Jack Warner, FIFA’s vice president and his son sold scalped tickets to unaware fans through a Miami location during the last World Cup. When it went to FIFA and an investigation was made guess who remained FIFA’s vice president. His son got away with a small fine. Jack warner is a disgusting representation for Trinidad and FIFA. Roy Keane has every right to make such decisions since Yorke’s salary depends on Keane. Besides, do you think Dwight Yorke could have made a difference in the 3-0 thumping. I think not.
