IPL.. based in England!

Ok so with Crouch departing Liverpool, Pennant seemingly on his way out and Carragher on the decline, Liverpool seems to be joining Arsenal as a totally international team. Soon they will have no more than 3 starters being English. If Frank Lampard goes to inter, Chelsea will now only have Joe and Cashley Cole and JT as their english cheerleaders. Manu will be able to boast of 6 English men in their starting eleven… Doesn’t say much for what these managers think of the talent of english players huh? I mean Sidwell”the natural replacement for Lamps” is off too Villa… Oh wait Liverpool is buying Barry… so they can boast of 4(my bad)… Still who knows, it seems that even thought England brags about 3 teams on the UCL semis they can’t boast of having mostly English players… not even one english Manager(but i digress).

Don’t get me wrong… I really don’t care much about who is on these teams once i am entertained… but England is producing less and less players playing at the top levels of Europe or even the top of their league… My word.. at least Spain, Italy, Portugal, Netherlands, France, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and even Trinidad can boast of a better ratio locals to ex-pats in their respective leagues. It is sad that not even Arsenal is looking to sign any english players (Not that i want them to)… but the International Premier League(EPL or BPL whichever you like) needs to make sure they don’t let money ruin their national team…

So is it that English players aren’t worth it? Is it that money runs the beautiful game? Or is it that we don’t give a rat’s pellet hole? Lemme know please…
